Marketing Content Specialist - Evergreen, CO


POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for developing creative, engaging, and informative content that will bring each of the collections to life via social media, email marketing, and the website/blog. This position drives brand awareness, delivers the character of each collection, and represents the core of the Company through written, visual, and verbal communications both internally and externally.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proposes, writes, and edits engaging content to drive site traffic, inspire conversions, and obtain new followers. Mediums include: email, website, social media, blog, video scripts, press releases, editorials, advertorials, brochures, case studies, direct mail, print ads, internal written communication, PPC (Pay-Per-Click), SEO (Search Engine Optimization), etc.
  • Manages monthly and quarterly calendars for social media, email marketing, and promotions for both professional and retail channels; builds and schedules monthly campaigns.
  • Assists in the creation of photography and design assets for SEO and PPC and other social media and email marketing.
  • Works with the Director of Marketing/Communications to contribute quarterly and seasonal campaign ideas, including promotions, giveaways, contests, etc.
  • Engages with social communities to address mentions and messages in a timely manner; shares placements, answers questions, and offers resources.
  • Gathers and analyzes monthly performance metrics for social media and email marketing.
  • Works closely with Brand Manager and Graphic Designers to discuss objectives, implement strategies, and measure the success of each project.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; highly proficient in spelling, grammar, proofreading and punctuation (AP style preferred).
  • Proven ability to produce copy that engages, builds relationships, and encourages conversions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work on multiple tasks with a variety of departments and team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, or closely related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in results-driven social media management, from copy to photography.
  • 2+ years of experience in conceptualizing and building conversion-driven email marketing campaigns.
  • Very strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point software programs. NetSuite experience a plus, as is knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in skincare, beauty, and/or wellness industries is preferred.
